After two years of population shrinkage, everyone stops hearing from the town of Pinewood, Colorado. A relative of one of the townspeople comes to visit and finds the entire town deserted. There are no signs as to where the people might have gone; or even that they left at all. Clothes are still hanging, meals are still laid out, but the people are all gone.
